Additional Fees and Considerations

In addition to the fees above, there are a few other costs and factors to keep in mind when selling on Etsy in France:

  • Set-Up Fee – Etsy may charge a one-time, non-refundable fee when opening your shop. The amount varies by seller location.
  • Currency Conversion Fee – If your listing currency differs from your Payment account currency, Etsy charges a 2.5% conversion fee based on the current market rate.
  • VAT (Value Added Tax) – VAT may apply to Etsy fees, including payment processing and seller services, depending on your tax status.

Managing Your Etsy Payment Account

Your Payment account tracks all sales, fees, and taxes. If you use Etsy Payments, fees are automatically deducted from your earnings.

If your balance becomes negative at the end of the month, Etsy will notify you and the outstanding amount will be due at the start of the following month.
