eBay France Selling Fees for Private Sellers

Selling on eBay.fr is simple and cost-effective for private sellers. You benefit from a monthly allowance of free listings and only pay fees when your item sells. These typically include a final value fee, a regulatory operating fee, and international selling fees where applicable.

Listing (Insertion) Fees

Private sellers receive up to 150 free listings per month. After exceeding this quota, each additional listing costs €0.35. Listing fees are charged once per listing unless you manually relist the item.

Certain categories, such as Autos & Motos, may have different pricing rules. Automatically relisted auction listings and “Good ‘Til Cancelled” renewals generally do not count against your free quota.

Final Value Fees

When your item sells, eBay charges a final value fee based on the total sale amount (item price, shipping, VAT, and any applicable taxes), plus a fixed €0.35 per order.

  • 10% on the portion up to €2,000
  • 2% on the portion above €2,000

If your item does not sell, no final value fee is usually charged. However, if you attempt to complete a sale outside of eBay by sharing contact details, eBay may still charge the fee based on the highest agreed or listed price.

Regulatory Operating Fee

A regulatory operating fee of 0.42% is applied to the total sale amount for private sellers. This fee is automatically deducted along with your other selling fees.

International Selling Fees

If your account address is in France and the buyer’s delivery address is outside the Eurozone or Sweden, the following international fees apply on the total sale amount:
