When selling on Depop US, you’ll encounter two main types of fees: payment processing fees (applied to every sale) and optional boosting fees (for promoted listings). Shipping costs also impact your total earnings. Here’s a detailed breakdown to help you calculate your profits accurately.
1. Depop Payment Processing Fees
All sales through Depop Payments (processed via Stripe) include this mandatory fee:

2. Boosted Listings Fee (Optional)
Promoting your listing increases visibility but adds an extra cost. Here’s how the 8% fee is calculated:

3. Depop Shipping Options
US sellers have two shipping methods, with Depop Shipping being the recommended option for tracked deliveries.
Option A: Depop Shipping (USPS)
Depop provides pre-paid, tracked shipping labels via USPS for mainland USA deliveries. When you make a sale, you’ll receive a QR code for easy drop-off at participating locations. The buyer pays the shipping cost upfront (see pricing table below), and you don’t need to worry about calculating rates.
Option B: Self-Arranged Shipping
If you choose to arrange your own shipping, you’ll need to purchase tracked shipping through a third-party carrier and enter the shipping price in your listing. Unlike with Boosted Listings, Depop doesn’t charge fees on self-arranged shipping amounts. However, you’re responsible for ensuring the package has tracking and reaches the buyer.
